Volunteer to Help!
Why would you WANT to volunteer? It's simple, if you volunteer to help with the sale, you get to shop early! Volunteers get the BEST deals and the BEST selection!
Our sale would not be possible without our volunteers. We would not be able to give such high commissions without you. Thank you in advance for all of your help!If you volunteer and you are also a consignor, your $7 consignor registration fee will be refunded to you in you commission payment.
One thing we will mention is that we need cheerful happy people to be the face of our sale. If you want to volunteer, please keep a smile on!

There are many ways to volunteer:
With Your Time
Work 4 hours at the sale, earn 5% more commission (for a total of 60%) and get to shop early!
Work 8 hours at the sale, earn 5% more commission (for a total of 65%) and get to shop even earlier! You can either sign up for separate shifts, or back to back shifts!
Option 1:
The first way is to spend four hours working at the sale. Or, if your husband or spouse, or mother wants to help they can fulfill your hours for you. We will need some help on the "rack-moving" days.
As a volunteer you will be able to shop during the volunteer shopping hours on Friday, and during the volunteer/consignor shopping hours for the 1/2 price sale.
We will have a limited number of "super volunteer" shifts available for those who want to work a double shift (8 hours). These folks will be able to shop an hour before the regular volunteer shop. These slots will be filled on a first come-first serve basis and will be offered to our past volunteers first.
What type of volunteer jobs are available?
Checker-Helpers- Count items, and put purchases in bags for customers. You are asked to smile and be happy -- even when the lines get long! :)
Floor - Help customers and straighten racks, return things to floor which folks have decided not to purchase.
Drop Off - Help consignors get things from their cars and assist with drop off.
Outside Help - For our sale we will need parking help (this is a great job for husbands to help with!
Security- We will have someone at the front door checking all bags and strollers as they leave, sorry we have to do this but we had some problems with shoplifting at the last sale. Our consignors trust us with their items!
Breakdown - Rearrange & help sort all left over items, help consignors find their items for pick-up, and get the leftover things packed up for charity. This is another great job for husbands to help with!
Help us Move our Racks – (the racks are not heavy!) on set up days and Sunday, we need some help to load the truck, etc, go to the volunteer link above! This is another great job for husbands to help with!
Other ways to Earn a
Yard Sign Distribution
Option 2 – 10 yard sale signs posted = volunteer pass
We are looking for folks who will help spread the word about Wee-Sale in their community by distributing 10 yard signs. This involves picking up the signs from us, putting them up on street corners (best to ask first), watch them and then collect them and bring them back to us after wards. Possible places for yard sale distribution would include busy intersections as well as preschools, daycares, dance studios, doctors offices, anywhere you know Mom's go. You would just let us know where the signs are so we don’t duplicate efforts. We have a list of corners that worked well from the last sale. We have coordinated the signs geographically so we can give you good direction!
PLEASE ask permission before putting signs up on private property!
Many people who attended the last sale told us they came because they saw the yard signs, so we would like to increase the geographic area we cover!

Option 3 – food = volunteer pass
If you can bring snacks or a meal to our volunteers you can get a volunteer pass. This option is only available to a few people, so if you want to do this email us early! For our spring sale we will team up people to bring the food on days/times where we will have more volunteers so it is not too expensive for anyone, the point of the sale is to save money!

Option 4 – spread the word = volunteer pass
If you have contacts at schools (see fund raiser options for schools and organizations, it is an easy sell), ballet studios, daycares, etc. and you can help get our fliers into these places, that will also help you earn a volunteer pass.
PLEASE ask permission before distributing fliers at schools.
Media
Option 5 Media = volunteer pass
If you know anyone in print, TV or radio media who can cover the sale and we get press out of it, that will help you earn a pre-sale pass. And a big “atta-girl” award from us!
