Volunteer to Help!   

Our sale would not be possible without our volunteers. We would not be able to give such high commissions without our volunteers. You help us keep our overhead low so that you can all make more money! Thank you in advance for all of your help!

One thing we will mention is that we need cheerful happy people to be the face of our sale. If you want to volunteer, please keep a smile on!

There are many ways to volunteer:

With Your Time
Option 1:

The first way is to spend three hours working at the sale. Or, if your husband or spouse wants to help they can fulfill your hours for you. We will need some help on the "rack-moving" days.

For the fall sale, we will have a limited number (15) of "Super Volunteer" slots available. A "Super Volunteer is someone who works two 3 hour shifts. In exchange, you will be able to shop during the "Super Volunteer" shopping time, which will be FIRST. These slots will be available on a first come, first serve basis. 

As a volunteer you will be able to shop during the volunteer shopping hours on Friday, and during the Volunteer/Consignor shopping hours for the 1/2 price sale.

What type of volunteer jobs are available?

Baggers - Count items, and put purchases in bags for customers. You are asked to smile and be happy -- even when the lines get long! :)
Equipment Patrol - Tag and hold large equipment/furniture for pick up after payment.
Floor - Help customers and straighten racks.
Drop Off - Help consignors get things from their cars and assist with drop off.
Security- We will have someone at the front door checking all bags and strollers as they leave, sorry we have to do this but we had some problems with shoplifting at the last sale. Our consignors trust us with their items!
Breakdown - Rearrange & help sort all left over items, help consignors find their items for pick-up, and get the leftover things packed up for charity. We really need help with this as last time Mimi's 72 year old Mom was helping move racks around the room! (guilt, guilt)
Help us Move our Racks – (the racks are not heavy!) on Wednesday before and the Monday after, we need some help to load the truck and move the racks to and from the storage place. If you can help with this please email Mimi directly at Mimi@Wee-Sale.com. 

Other ways to Earn a Volunteer Pass:

Yard Sign Distribution
Option 2 – 10 yard sale signs posted = volunteer pass

 We are looking for folks who will help spread the word about Wee-Sale in their community by distributing 10 yard signs. This involves picking up the signs from us, putting them up on street corners (best to ask first), watch them and then collect them and bring them back to us afterwards. Possible places for yard sale distribution would include busy intersections as well as preschools, daycares, dance studios, doctors offices, anywhere you know Mom's go. You would just let us know where the signs are so we don’t duplicate efforts. We have a list of corners that worked well from the last sale.

Many people who attended the last sale told us they came because they saw the yard signs, so we would like to increase the geographic area we cover!

Snacks
Option 3 – snacks = volunteer pass

If you can bring snacks or lunch to our volunteers you can get a volunteer pass. This option is only available to a few people, so if you want to do this email us early!

Brainpower – Help us spread the word about the sale!
Option 4 – spread the word = volunteer pass

If you have contacts at schools (see fundraiser options for schools and organizations, it is an easy sell), ballet studios, daycares, etc) and you can help get our flyers into these places, that will also help you earn a volunteer pass.

Media
Option 5 Media = 2 volunteer passes

If you know anyone in print, TV or radio media who can cover the sale and we get press out of it, that will help you earn TWO pre-sale passes. And a big “atta-girl” award from us!

Entering Vendor Items
Option 6 Entering Items = 1 Volunteer Pass
For our fall sale we will have a few vendors who will need help entering their items into our computer system. Please email Mimi@wee-sale.com if you would like to come help with this!
